Boat rental in Salerno · Bali - Catana — Bali 4.3 (2020)

Please read this review: This was the worst traveling experience of our lives. We were only on the boat for 1 night of sleep. The second night we did not sleep due to the below. We evacuated the boat on the third day. There were a myriad of issues, however I will start with the worst. Our boat literally crashed VIOLENTLY into rocks at around 1am in Acciaroli due to our anchor picking up off the sea floor. One party member flipped over the table and has an awful bruise (we have documentation of this). Numerous glasses and items shattered all over the ground making it very dangerous to even walk. Keep in mind this was at 1am, pitch black, high winds, lightning storm coming in. Our captain did not properly anchor the boat. We were told to evacuate via the tender due to us likely sinking. We grabbed our passports and necessary belongings but assumed all of our belongings were going to sink. After a few minutes the captain realized we may not be sinking. Beyond this, the day we arrived they had no captain. We had to cancel the first day of our trip after a 10 hour flight. We incurred over $1000 of charges to not be on the boat in hotels and taxis to a nicer town that was not Salerno. In addition, the tender lift was broken, meaning myself and the captain needed to pull it up - resulting in a strained bicep for myself over time. The captain’s quarters were not set up, meaning the captain asked to sleep in our second bedroom, which was not ok. We requested and paid for snorkels, a kayak and goggles and there were none on board. No one showed us lifejackets. We literally crashed and were presumed sinking and didn’t know where life jackets were. No toilet paper on board for the bathrooms. We demand a 100% refund for this traumatic experience. If this were a US based company they would no longer be in business. Magic has completely gone silent on us and not refunded us a single dollar. This is legitimately criminal behavior.

We had great communication until the day of our charter, then we had many issues and the skipper seemed to have had to join at the last minute so things were very messy and rushed and there was no communication to our group about anything on the first day, not even where we were going. But, the biggest concern was that we did not even receive a safety briefing or know where a first aid kit was nor lifejackets, which I find completely unacceptable. When I messaged the company, they didn’t respond for the entire charter and when I saw a representative at the end of the charter, she tried to blame it on the skipper but ultimately, the company organizing also must prioritize safety and have this responsibility, this was extremely disappointing. There were other issues but this was my primary concern and safety must always be a top priority.

We spent 3 days on the catamaran with our four children and it was our first experience on a boat. The boat was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we could not go further than Amalfi because of poor weather conditions (all regular lines were cancelled) and stayed in the port. We appreciated very much the skipper Marco who was experimented and nice (very patient with the kids) and helped us to make the best of our stay in spite of the conditions. We would have appreciated to be informed beforehand by the superviser of the travel restrictions but we assume that they could not be predicted. The hostess was very kind and willing but a bit unexperimented. We would have expected more sophisticated apéritives but she prepared us two nice pasta diners. We would definitely recommend Magic.

Bali 4.3 with Gianni was great! We had a family of 6 and we hired a skipper, Migule. We enjoyed the boat a lot. It will well equipped with dishes and pots/pans to cook on board. The rooms were nice, since we were there later in the season we wished we had blankets. It got cold on the boat at night. Gianni's sons help him with checkin and checkout, it is a great family to work with. Be prepared with the security deposit in cash. We really enjoyed sailing the seas in Italy on the boat, the water was pretty and warm. We were rained out one day so we had to stay on port in Ishcia which is a nice Island. Again, the boat was great, Gianni was great and we hope to come back some day.

Gianni was a very friendly and responsive owner. He even drove to Sorrento from Naples with an engineer to quickly fix a small battery problem we had so we were only delayed a couple of hours. The boat is new and very well organised. I would recommend
