Nice, good boat. Great communication beforehand. Some lack of communication upon arrival since the staff didn’t speak English, so getting tips on where to go, etc., was difficult. There was supposed to be snorkeling equipment on board — that was partly true. The masks were good, but there were no snorkels (probably considered personal equipment, which is understandable, but it could have been mentioned). The fuel tank was half full (if the gauge was accurate). We didn’t get very far on that and returned a bit nervous with the gauge showing empty. But overall, a great experience!
Great day renting a boat from Mauro. Everything went smooth
It’s a very nice and maintained boat, it’s a beautiful area to explore as well. Only little misunderstanding was that I thought it was in Porto grande Syracuse but it was a 10 min drive from there. But besides the miscommunication for the meeting point, everybody was very nice and kind!! I liked that the boat had speakers on it and we requested a coolbox and it was there!
It was perfect! The owner was very communicative and took care of everything. Great value for the money. Would definitely rent from him again.
My partner and I had a great time out in the boat for the day. Weather was perfect. Parked up for the majority just enjoying the crystal clear waters near the old town wall. The boat was great very comfortable and the shade cloth worked wonders. It would have been good to have someone who could converse a bit better in English at the beginning as it had been 5 years since my last time driving and wanted to clarify a few things. But all in all a really amazing day out

We had a great experience renting the speedboat. Mauro was kind, responsive, and even helped us organise a taxi to the location. He was patient and flexible, which made everything easy. The boat was in good condition and fun to drive — the only issue was that the driver’s chair came loose during the ride. We managed to fix it and let Mauro know afterwards. Aside from that, everything was spot on. It was much nicer than being on a shared boat, the price was fair, and fuel costs were low.
Communication after returning the boat was not that friendly. Saying we had to pay 40€ for fuel while we only used around 15 liters of fuel, due to the weather we had to return earlier. Even if we would have used the boat a whole day, we wouldnt have had enough fuel as the tank was less than half full when we started. The owner of the boat started to threaten me that he wil call the police if we do not pay 40€ directly. However Mauro (the contact person) was very friendly and understanding and resolved the issue and charged the correct price of 20€ for the used fuel. The boat was overal well maintained en navigated correctly, just a bit annoying that the radio was not functioning.
