Day trips. South sailing trip (Zakynthos main port to the south - more relaxing area protected from extreme wind gusts with the famous turtles caretta-caretta and nice small beaches and amazing caves . The boat departs at 9am from the port of Zakynthos. The trip takes about 9 hours. From Zakynthos town harbour we sail southeast wards along the wonderful green coastline of Vasilikos. After rounding cape Gerakas we enter the “National Marine Park” the protected sea turtle “Caretta-Caretta” area. In the bay of Laganas we pass the islands Pelouzo and Marathonisi and steer for the blue caves of Keri. Under the high cliffs we stop for swimming and snorkelling in one of the caves, after which we head for the small fishing village where the meal can take place in a seaside restaurant of Limni Keriou. There you have enough time to go to one of the tavernas, to do shopping or enjoy the village beach. Depending on wind we will now sail back close to the turtle island Marathonisi through Laganas bay. Here in the warm waters we hopefully get a closer look on a sea-turtle and head back for the port. We try to find you lovely places for relaxing, swimming and snorkelling. The program is depending on wind and weather-conditions. Sailing experience is not needed but you are more than welcome to participate in hoisting the sails etc. Your skipper will try to answer all your questions We do advice you to bring some extra clothing is usually a bit fresher. North sailing trip ( Zakynthos main port to the north- with the famous beach shipwreck , always weather permitted ) The boat departs at 9am from the port of Zakynthos. The trip takes about 9 hours. The first destination for swim stop is the Blue Caves. After the Blue Caves, we visit the famous Shipwreck. Dependence of weather condition and boats traffic passengers in agreement with the captain can choose to swim either on crowded beaches or in isolated ones nearby. Steering back to the port of Zakynthos the meal can take place in a seaside restaurant ( Mikro Nisi ). In consultation with the captain, the passenger can choose a last swim in Xygia beach before we sail back to Zakynthos port . Sailing experience is not needed but you are more than welcome to participate in hoisting the sails etc. Your skipper will try to answer all your questions We do advice you to bring some extra clothing is usually a bit fresher. Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! Alexandros was the perfect host, and we had such a lovely day sailing south of the island with him. He recommended an amazing spot for lunch with views over turtle island and had snorkel and paddle board equipment on board. Would absolutely book again, thanks so much!

A once of a lifetime experience! I could not recommend it enough! We couldn’t have been happier with the trip. We did the South day trip and it will be a day I will always remember! The caves were spectacular, the water and the islands just breathtaking. Alexandros was an incredible skipper, very friendly and accommodating to what we wanted to see and out timings. At no moment did we feel rushed to go onto the next part of the trip. He also recommended us a spot for lunch which was incredible. The boat stunning, spotless and was very comfortable for the 6 of us but did have lots more room for a bigger group. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Alexandros was an excellent skipper and host, he was very knowledgable of how we could spend our day and always had a smile on his face. The taverna at lunch was lovely and we even got to sail on our way back to port. We would definitely use his boat again.
Absolutely loved our trip. Alexandros was so warm and welcoming. Was very accommodating with times and places to visit. Boat was clean and well maintained. Highly recommend. A few snacks and soft drinks would have made this a perfect trip as we did not bring enough soft drinks for the duration. Would definitely book again though.

Alexandros was the perfect captain! He is extremely flexible. We sailed to the Peloponnesus with winds of 31 kn and He was an expert sailor! He is friendly and fun but most importantly a very very competent sailor. We had such a good time that we all thought it was the best trip ever. We would definitely do it again and highly recommend it for anyone. It is a must do in Zante!

THIS DAY TRIP WAS AMAZING! We had the best time, we did the south of the island and it was literally the highlight of our trip. The day was organised perfectly with a lot of free time for swim spots in crystal blue waters. We were fortunate enough to swim with turtles and get up close with them. Alex was brilliant, super friendly, efficient and quick responses prior to the day. The boat is super comfortable yet elegant, and is fully equipped with anything you need.
Had a fantastic day aboard Atlantic 49 with Alexandros. We spent the day sailing between Alykanas and Kefalonia, his knowledge and lovely personality made the day even more enjoyable. Very nice experience. Alexandros took us to the south tour and it was very nice. We stopped for swimming, also had the chance to see a turtule swimming. Alexandros is a great skipper, friendly and he can provide great tips about beaches to go in Zakynthos.

Alexandros, was born in Chania, Crete. -In 1994 he graduated Lakis' Kyriakidis sailing school with an open seas skipper license. In 1995 he sailed around the Aegean and Ionian seas with a friend and fellow skipper. The voyage lasted 5 months and covered 1500 miles. In 1997 he moved to Zakynthos where he begun working as a skipper on a vessel offering daily cruises, where he continues to do so until today, with love and respect to the sea and his guests. In 2006 he purchased Soliton, an Atlantic 49 ft. sailing vessel where is currently the skipper and co-owner. At the end of the sailing cruise season he organizes and participates in vessel transportation. In 2001 he transported a sailboat from Zakynthos, Greece to Bremen, Germany for a tolal distance of 1700 miles, including the river channel system. In 2003 he transported another vessel from Zakynthos to Italy, where he circumnavigated Sicily for a total of 1100 miles. In 2015 he crossed the Atlantic on a sailing trip from Athens, Greece to Martinique in the Caribbean for a total of 5200 miles. In 2016 he sailed from Zakynthos to Dubrovnik Croation for a total of 700 miles. Also in 2016 he was awarded the "Master of Yacht" license from the ISSA international sailing school.
