Renting my Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 52.2, a 15.85 m upmarket sailboat based in Alimos marina in Athens. The boat was built in 2000, but there was a total refit on it in 2017/9. Many things are new on the boat: new sails, new bimini, new sprayhood, new deck with spoecial anti-slip GRP/gelcoat surface, fully polished and looking great, renovated cockpit teak and sealing, new extra-large 2.70-metre dinghy, new varnish, new upholstery, new GPS color chartplotter, new stove, new bilge and shower drain pumps, rebuilt Lofrans 1500w windlass etc. It has 5 cabins with 5 en suite heads. It can easily host up to 10 people. The equipment of the boat includes full set of navigation and cruising safety instruments. In the interior there is a spacious galley with fridge and an icebox. The salon is luxurious and can be easily shared between 10 people. This model was for many years the top flagship model of the famous Jeanneau shipyard. On the deck, there is plenty of space for sunbathing and moving on the deck for all the guests. The cockpit is one of the largest comparing with the boats of its category. The boat is rented with or without a skipper. You can charter it and sail to the Cyclades islands or the the Argosaronic gulf.

Overall rating
Alex received us in a very nice and friendly way. We would have liked more equipment: we did not have different adaptors for the 220V shore power, as local ports have different sockets. Also, written instructions as this is a large boat with many systems. Finally, a toilet pump handle came loose. However, this was a nice and spacious boat that sailed well, and we enjoyed our sailing holiday. We would be happy to charter the same boat again.

According to the age, the condition is as expected for a 21 year old boat. Sails in very good condition. Everything else from a little worn to tired. Nice ship that sails properly with a well-sized rig. Alex is open and helpful. All together a great two weeks in the Saronic Gulf. I can definitely recommend it.
Perfect Boat announced with 5 cabins but only 4 real ones, the fifth at the front of the boat being 2 planks above the toilets. Perfect for up to 8 people
