boat hire in Athens · — Oceanis 46.1 (2019)

The problems started with the demand to pay 140 euros for bed linen, even though it was included on the website when we booked the boat. they didnt care for any proof we showed them and in order to not have to sleep on bare matrresses we paid the price. Then, only when we arrived at the boat, they informed us there was no possibility for wi-fi, although we booked it in advance. We didn't pay for the wifi but we did pay for a coffee machine (40 euros - though the price on the website is 28), that apparently (as we figured when we already left Piraeus) works only on shore power so we couldn't use it almost the entire week (it is well known that in Greece the time you're connected to a port is very scarce). We actually received the boat with discharged batteries and locked shore power - when we noted to him about it he said: "run the engine for electricity".... In the check-in I saw the bow thruster wasnt working and the floating ropes that I was told (via messages in this website) the boat has - does not exist. Of course, we didn't receive any compensation for that. The first day of sailing discovered all the bad maintenance of the boats - sails that were almost impossible to operate because the bad state of the ropes, auto-pilot that keep getting out of auto mode, dinghy with a broken structure and the dinghy's motor (which we paid extra 80 euros for) was dead after 1 minute of use. When we connected the owner for all these malfunctions, his answer was "sailing is a hard work" and for the dinghy's motor he sent us to another island for repair - which mean that until then (a day and a half after the problem occured) we needed to pay every time for water taxis (150 euros) .When the technician brought us back the motor after repair, the owner asked me to pay him 120 euros for that and he promised to give them back to me when we return - money I haven't received yet!!! more to that, when we tried the motor later at the next island, it kept shutting down after every minute of use - so again we didn't have a dinghy's motor. The entire week we couldn't use the dinghy's motor and we never received our money for that, nor for the water taxis we took because of that. And just on top of all these services we didn't receive - when we came back on friday we asked them to do the check out and again they demanded extra money for "early check out" - 150 euros!!
