Nice boat trip!
I asked an offer a day Cruise with a captain. He offered and I accepted. He sends in the evening a message captain 350 and fuel 150. I answer that captain was included in my offer request. He claims that no. After I say I don't accept and shall we cancel ? As I don't get answer anymore in the evening, I send a message ok cancelled then. He refuses to return the money. Intetesting here is that clickandboat says that we can't do anything. So you don't have any security from that side even the advertise themselves as a securing third partner between. Before this case all the extras have been clearly given as asking a quote before accepting the offer. Avoid this person and don't rely on clickandboat. The best part of cb comment were when they said that the fees are on the web site. As I noted that not at least on the English site, they answered that but they are on the French side and you can use Google translator. Nice service.
Great boat, skipper didn't speak English and was not very communicative
We had a great day at the boat. It appeared older and more worn than expected. In addition, there were two dogs on board. Unfortunately, my wife is allergic to dogs, so that was not ideal for us.
Patrick was late, he advised that he had double booked with another person called Emma, hence had to resolve that. This lovely sailing yacht was advertised for 848 Euros for a day from 11am-5pm; in his advert Patrick said that he could provide lunch, so I enquired about a price for a full day with lunch. Patrick replied to advise that it was 1014 Euros + 250 Euros for his time plus fuel. On the day of our charter, we asked when lunch would be and he advised that there was no lunch. Fortunately we had a French girl in our party so she was able to communicate with him as he is not an English speaker; of course that shouldn't matter but when you have asked for lunch and been given a price to include it which is 166 euros differential to the boat price, it is handy to have someone who can converse. However she said he was pretty unhelpful and was somewhat irritated; I wonder if in his double booking he was confused but regardless of that, we had no lunch on board and clearly hadn't taken any. Due to this we then had to sail to a restaurant (this also irritated Patrick, it felt very tense on board) of course he secured a free lunch at the restaurant for taking us and we picked up a ill for the 9 of us for 660 euros; so for a day that we were anticipating based on his quote would cost us 1,364 euros, it actually cost us 2,024 euros and Patrick got a free lunch and none of the stress of making lunch for us; we didn't want to spend over an hour in a restaurant, we wanted to be on the boat, so it was a real shame. Due to the restaurant taking some time, Patrick was even further irritated as it meant that he would end up being a little late back for his "next booking", which clearly wasn't a booking - as his friend was waiting for him when he got back. We hire 2-3 boats every year in the south of France and have always had a great experience, the captains usually make a real effort to get the children involved with sailing and lunch is a real treat on the boat. I have never felt the need to leave a poor review, but this was an extremely disappointing day, Patrick made no effort to speak to us, involve us and it felt as though he generally resented us being on his boat; not what you want when you spend over two thousand euros, so I feel somewhat aggrieved by this. Sadly I would suggest that you charter with caution; it’s time and money that you can’t get back and my experience with Click and Boat prior to this has been so great that there are plenty of other options and ones where you don't need to be made to feel unwelcome and unwanted.
The boat does not correspond to the Description and photos on Click&Boat. The captain served the boat at the right time, but rushed the guests all the time in a fast and fast manner, creating a stressful environment. On board the boat we also saw two dogs, for some reason they were with us all day (luckily none of the guests were allergic). The boat inside was very, very dirty. The wine glasses are dirty, the dishes for the food we took with us on board are nasty dirty even looking at them. The guests had to wash everything. There was no soap in the toilet. Equipment for fishing-there was no (as indicated on the site). There was no space in the fridge to put the bottles and products we brought - everything was taken up with the boat owner's personal products and the fridge itself was very dirty. On my birthday, I was very disappointed. I didn't mean to write this review, but I'm doing it so other guests aren't upset and know what to prepare for. It's not a suite at all, as the host says on the site.
