boat hire in Furnari · Beneteau — Oceanis 45 (2014)

I would like to point out that it was my first experience, but it is not possible that the boat is rented with numerous nails holding the teak stern exposed due to excessive wear of the wood. Furthermore, the icebox only worked on the first day of the holiday and, to recharge cell phones and PCs, you had to wait for the boat to run on the engine... and that's not the best. A special mention goes to the skipper Mario Reda: professional but empathetic, jovial but effective and of proven competence, excellent knowledge of the islands and always ready to find the best solution. Beautiful marina and good welcome. Note that if you return to your location during the week to take shelter, you will be charged for one night at the port (150 euros). Too bad this is not communicated to reception. We would have chosen any port then... For the boat, one of the toilets was defective... it can happen but a rigorous maintenance check should detect it (not detectable at check-in). Also pay attention to the extras requested: communication between headquarters and the marina was not up to standard; so no more SUP and the net for the children was not installed. Three hours wasted, which forced us to stay at the dock on Saturday evening. That being said, we will come back with pleasure because the marina is really beautiful and practical with small children.
