What everyone enjoys most about the 2018 Oceanis 38.1 "MARISA" is how thoughtfully equipped she is to make cruising both easy and comfortable. She’s simple to handle, enjoyable to sail, and remarkably spacious for her size — and the upgraded equipment really enhances the experience. At the helm, the twin wheels provide excellent visibility and control, while the navigation suite — including chartplotter, autopilot, and wind/depth instruments — makes handling the boat smooth whether you're sailing with friends or short-handed. The sail plan is very manageable, and the reefing system allows me to adjust quickly when conditions change. A major advantage of this yacht is the set of new sails from 2025, which have noticeably improved both performance and handling. The fresher, more responsive sailcloth makes the boat feel lively and efficient, even in lighter winds. Another practical upgrade is the inverter, which has been incredibly useful during longer passages or quiet nights at anchor. It allows you to power and charge essential appliances independently, offering real freedom when spending time off-grid. Below deck, the Oceanis 38.1 features a bright, modern interior and a fully equipped galley with a refrigerator, oven, stove, and generous storage space. Excellent ventilation, LED lighting, and multiple USB/AC outlets contribute to a comfortable living environment throughout the cruise. Overall, the 2018 Oceanis 38.1 is a well-equipped, reliable, and comfortable sailing yacht. With modern navigation equipment, new 2025 sails, easy sail handling, and the independence provided by the inverter, she’s perfectly suited for relaxed, enjoyable, and efficient cruising. What happens in the case of bad weather?
If the weather does not allow you to go out to sea, it is better to postpone the booking and agree on a new date with the boat owner. For daily rentals, you have the possibility to subscribe to our Weather Guarantee in order to be fully reimbursed in case of bad weather (special weather report, storm, etc...).
Is fuel included in the charter price?
Fuel is not included in the rental price. Please contact the owner if you would like an estimate of the fuel cost of booking this boat.
Do I need a licence to rent this boat?
You must have a boat licence to drive this boat. The paper document may be requested by the owner on the day of booking, so do not hesitate to confirm with the owner the type of licence required for this specific rental (coastal, river, etc...). Please note that it is possible to book the boat without being the skipper yourself at the time of charter.
Am I insured in case of problems with the boat at sea?
All boats available on Click&Boat are covered by at least a mandatory third-party liability insurance (RC), as required by applicable regulations. This insurance generally covers damages caused to third parties, but does not cover damages caused to the rented boat itself. In the event of damage to the boat during the rental period, the owner is entitled to retain part or all of the deposit left by the renter in order to cover the repair costs. The renter may, where eligible, take out a damage waiver insurance in order to protect their deposit. As a general rule, damages are to be settled directly between the renter and the boat owner. In case no agreement can be reached, the matter may need to be referred to the competent legal authority. Additional insurances (such as deposit waiver, assistance, etc.) may be purchased directly on Click&Boat at the time of booking, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Am I experienced enough to rent this boat?
Before accepting a booking request, the owner may carry out a check of the hirer's nautical CV to ensure that they are experienced enough to hire the boat. The owner can also adapt their check-in to the port (training, help leaving the port) according to the nautical skills of the renter. Do not hesitate to discuss this with the owner via the message board.
