It's rare that I make bad comments... I'm not one to complain. We had a wonderful week of cruising thanks to our skipper Elvis, who was awesome! However... Because there is one big drawback... The platform Click&Boat didn't do its job properly. We were urgently asked for our passport information two days before boarding, even though I had made sure to call the week before our departure to make sure everything was in order. However, I wasn't asked for this crucial information, which had already been requested by the charter company, who had been on site for over a month, apparently. When I received this request, I was already in the Seychelles. Luckily for me, I checked my emails, otherwise our Friday departure would have been postponed to Tuesday without this crucial information. No, this isn't a joke. Since our cruise was booked and paid for in February for an October cruise, I find the management to be truly poor. Then, we were told that check-in was at 4:00 PM, when in fact our boat was available for us at 10:00 AM. It was only when we arrived at the charter company's office (Sunsail, Moorings) at the Eden Island marina at 3:00 PM that we were given this information. A whole day wasted. What a shame! Especially given the unacceptable passport issue, they could have informed us of this good news by email or, even better, by phone to make up for it... but no! So, 1 skipper and 1 boat ready at the port at 10:00 for nothing... Then, when we arrived on the boat, the skipper told us that the desalinator wasn't working... Really impractical for a week of sailing with two families on a catamaran. We had to stop twice in port to refill the water tank, even though we were very economical with our water consumption... One toilet was unusable on the second day because the pump was broken... Again, not very practical for 8 people on a boat... The lights under the boat weren't working. The skipper had already reported this, as had the other problems, but apparently it's not important for guests to be able to properly enjoy their week of sailing in complete comfort. The clothes drawers were dirty (that's really a minor detail because if that were all there was to it, I would never have mentioned it...) One of the three fridges wasn't working very well. So... Really disappointed with the organization. Click&Boat is very efficient at selling you a week's cruise, but once everything is paid for, no one sends you any additional information as your cruise approaches... You have to go fishing for information, and even so, you still risk having unpleasant surprises at the last minute... I wrote a full email to my contact at Click&Boat, and it's been 10 days already... No response... What a lack of professionalism...
