When you go to a new country what you want is a local friend to be your guide. Yves was just that. During the week we spent together, with his knowledge of the Caribbean and his experience at sea, Yves showed us all the facets of the Guadeloupe archipelago. There are very beautiful aspects and others that make you understand how life on these islands is not always a tropical paradise. Yves tells you about it and takes you around with his car, especially on the island of Maria Galante, which is certainly the most emblematic for its agricultural vocation, its natural beauty but also for the arrival of the sargassum that has turned the lives of its inhabitants and tourists upside down. Yves' boat is essential and comfortable. Obviously on a boat you have to know how to adapt and Yves with his calm and patience always puts you at ease. Thank you Yves for this beautiful week sailing through the Guadeloupe archipelago, for snorkelling with the turtles in Le Saintes and for the Ti punch you prepared for us every evening!

Superb crossing from Pointe à Pitre to Marie Galante and visit of the island. This getaway corresponded 100% to our expectations and even beyond. Yves is a passionate skipper who allowed us to achieve a very comfortable navigation. Yves was attentive to all our requests. He made us discover and appreciate the island down to the smallest details (distiĺerie, natural site, heritage of the island, etc.) Yves is very discreet, which is appreciable for a cohabitation in the reduced space of a sailboat. He also allowed us to share a convivial Creole meal with friends from the island. We spent with my daughters six very nice days cruising with Yves between the saints and Marie Galante. Our captain was available and attentive. However, we were not reassured and rather shaken up during the crossing of Les Saintes towards Marie Galante, a lot of swell, strong wind with gusts to 35 knots and rain for 6 hours. We should have taken the time to discuss the weather conditions and safety measures before departure. We would have been quite unable to help in the event of damage and even if nothing happened to us, I do not know if I will resume sea under these conditions. To think about therefore before departure. We discovered very beautiful places thanks to Yves who knows his region well. Life on board is very friendly but the overcrowding limits privacy. I recommend.
