Set sail from the port of Toulon (Var) aboard Stirwen, a seaworthy sailboat combining comfort, performance, and sailing pleasure. Depending on the length of your stay on board, you'll sail towards the Hyères Islands (Porquerolles, Port Cros), the Calanques of Marseille, Corsica, or any other destination on the French Mediterranean coast. The sailboat features three beautiful double cabins, a toilet/shower unit, and all the essential amenities for life at sea. The onboard safety equipment is designed for offshore cruising. The number of people on board is limited to six, excluding the skipper-instructor, except for day trips. A paddleboard (optional) can be made available to you if you wish. Finally, I would like to point out that, as the owner of my boat, I do not rent it without being on board. We had an excellent week of training on board, around the Porquerolles Islands, with Eric. A great teacher, patient, precise, rigorous, and professional, Eric fully understood our sailing project and put a lot of energy into ensuring that all members of our family had a great experience. We highly recommend Eric and thank him for this unforgettable week at sea where we learned a lot.

Our project was to sail the family crew. Eric was perfect: very educational, always in a very good mood, listening to everyone and adapting to different levels of experience. The boat is very well maintained and very well equipped for sailing which makes it a perfect playground to progress. Navigant depuis mon plus jeune âge, j’ai fais mes premiers bords en Manche, sur le voilier familial et ai toujours conservé ce goût de la mer et des bateaux. J’ai découvert la voile légère à l’âge de onze ans, avec l’Optimist. A 20 ans, poussé par mon besoin d’être sur l’eau et de faire découvrir cet univers, je validai une formation de moniteur fédéral. En 1991, ma vie prenait une toute autre direction qui allait conditionner les 23 années à venir : je m’engageai dans la Marine Nationale. Après avoir fait partie du personnel opérationnel de la flotte pendant 13 ans, J’ai été formateur pour adultes pendant 9 années et ai assuré, pendant 4 ans, la fonction de chef de quart au CROSSMED -Centre Régional Opérationnel de Surveillance et de Sauvetage de la Méditerranée -. Cependant, je n’ai jamais cessé de naviguer, tour à tour en dériveur, en catamaran de sport, en planche à voile ou en voilier habitable, que ce soit en croisière ou en régate. C’est tout naturellement que fort de mon vécu et de mes expériences, j’ai décidé, après avoir suivi un parcours diplômant, de faire de ma passion mon métier. Aujourd'hui formateur diplômé d’État, je peux vous proposer, si vous le désirez, une formation "sur mesure", en formule exclusive, d'une durée minimum d'un jour. Si vous le souhaitez, votre équipage participera à l'ensemble des manœuvres à la voile et au moteur, à la vie à bord. Chacun occupera à tour de rôle les différents postes afin de devenir polyvalent, interchangeable et d'avoir à terme, une vision globale du fonctionnement du bateau. Un des objectifs est effectivement de fonctionner "en équipage" en travaillant la préparation des manœuvres, la communication et la coordination pendant leur déroulement. Des briefings et débriefings seront mis en place pour décrire et expliquer le déroulement et la technique d'une manœuvre comme jeter l'ancre ou le réglage des voiles. L'équipage réparti sur les différents postes met ensuite en application ce qui a été vu, le tout dans un esprit convivial et bienveillant.
