I discovered sailing in 1988 by buying the sailboat of the man who was to become my best friend: Francis. . It was a CNSO Lotus, a 7.50m sailboat moored in the old port of Marseille. Not sailing much, I sold it 5 years later. Suddenly, I no longer knew what to do on my days off; I turned my head as I passed by the sea, this environment was no longer mine, “I had betrayed the sea, I was a lost soul“ . 6 months later, I bought Candy2 at the old port of La Ciotat. I kept it for 14 years and sailed between Marseille and Menton dreaming of crossing but without daring. I finally got a berth on an annual basis at the port of Toulon in 2001; Phew, more passenger! . I sold it in 2008 to buy Alcyon a Gib'Sea 96 from 1984, a 10.10m X 3.35m sailboat with which, when I met Marie Line; I dared my first crossing. Not as oppressive as I imagined, but the pleasure of seeing that the sea is very round. . It was in 2011 that I acquired a 1990 First 45F5 from Gaïdic, a 14.20m X 4.25m sailboat. Gaïdic was my revelation, I want to go further and further, it is a very seaworthy sailboat with pleasurable behavior, it works very well while being very comfortable, it allows adjustments which make navigation interesting. I dreamed of it for a long time, today I have it and it does not disappoint me, on the contrary I discover new qualities in it every day. Since then, I even do regattas. I wouldn't take bigger, I'm afraid of being disappointed.
