Hello everyone! This sailing yacht Jeanneau Brin de Folie 30 with the name Jake is moored in the outer harbor of Lemmer. This Jeanneau is extremely suitable for the IJsselmeer, the Markermeer and the Wadden. This yacht was renovated in 2023 and has a spacious cockpit and is equipped with a mainsail with lazy jacks and a furling genoa. This Jeanneau is a stable sailor with a large ballast share. The dimensions are 9.00 x 3.00 meters. Due to the shallow keel of 1.45 meters, this yacht is also very suitable for the Frisian lakes. The interior space with standing height and a double bed in the front cabin and 2 sleeping places in the salon make the ship suitable for 4 people. The sailing yacht has an economical Vetus diesel engine of 16 hp. The galley has a fixed 50 liter refrigerator. Cooking is comfortable on an induction hob. An inverter, solar panel and sufficient battery capacity make life on board comfortable. There is also a bio ethanol stove on board if you want to cook at anchor. Friendly and pleasant charterer. The boat's age was definitely noticeable in some places, with some water getting into the interior. The engine also needed some maintenance before we could set off without any problems. The boat sails very comfortably, even in sometimes rough seas. It's well suited for beginners and also very maneuverable despite its size. Therefore, it's good value for money and a pleasant owner.

Communication with Frank went smoothly. We received good explanations about the boat and useful tips for the sailing route. Boat Jake sails easily and stably. The rotating propeller can be heard very clearly. Navigation was a bit difficult. There was no compass and the plotter is a bit slow and the controls unclear. The autopilot sometimes received different instructions from the plotter, making it rather unusable. Thanks in part to a strong wind, we certainly had a wonderful trip.
