Catamaran holiday in Northern Sardinia with good weather, departing from Porto Rafael. The itinerary combines the best of the Maddalena Archipelago with a spectacular stop in Corsica. ⸻ Itinerary No. 1 – Northern Sardinia & Southern Corsica by Catamaran (6 days) Ideal for: good weather, calm sea, relaxation and natural beauty Departure and arrival: Porto Rafael ⸻ Day 1 – Porto Rafael > Cala Corsara (Spargi) > Night in Porto Palma (Caprera) • Morning: Boarding in Porto Rafael, briefing and provisioning. • Midday: Stop at Cala Corsara, Spargi Island – crystal clear waters, white sand, perfect for the first swim. • Afternoon: Sailing towards Porto Palma, on the southern side of Caprera. • Night: At anchor in Porto Palma – quiet and well-sheltered area, ideal for the first night on the catamaran. ⸻ Day 2 – Cala Portese > Cala Coticcio > Night at Cala Garibaldi • Morning: Heading for Cala Portese, also known as “Due Mari” – perfect for snorkeling and relaxing. • Afternoon: Short trip to Cala Coticcio, the “Tahiti of Sardinia” – transparent waters and granite cliffs. • Night: Anchored at Cala Garibaldi, near Caprera – excellent weather and a suggestive sunset. ⸻ Day 3 – Cala Spalmatore > Porto Massimo > Night at Porto Pollo • Morning: Sailing towards Cala Spalmatore, on the island of La Maddalena – calm sea, turquoise waters. • Afternoon: Stop at Porto Massimo for supplies or a short visit ashore. • Night: Anchorage in the bay of Porto Pollo, a paradise for kitesurfing and evening relaxation. ⸻ Day 4 – Budelli > Cala Santa Maria > Night at Cala Marino (Razzoli) • Morning: Exploration of the Natural Pools between Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria – breathtaking colors. • Afternoon: Stop at Cala Santa Maria, large and spectacular. • Night: Anchorage at Cala Marino, on the island of Razzoli – wild nature and starry sky. ⸻ Day 5 – Lavezzi > Isola Piana > Bonifacio (Corsica) • Morning: Crossing the Strait of Bonifacio towards the Lavezzi Reserve – granite landscape, transparent sea. • Afternoon: Passage and stop at Isola Piana, ideal for a picture-postcard swim. • Late afternoon: Arrival in Bonifacio, mooring in the natural fjord – evening in the medieval village. ⸻ Day 6 – Return Bonifacio > Porto Rafael • Morning: Departure from Bonifacio and crossing to Sardinia. • Midday: Possible intermediate stop for a swim (e.g. Cala Lunga). • Afternoon: Return and disembarkation in Porto Rafael. ⸻ Useful notes: • Wind and weather: Ideal itinerary with high pressure conditions and weak or moderate winds. • Permits: For Budelli and nature reserves, always check the access rules. • Snorkeling and relaxation: Each stop offers clear waters and spectacular seabeds. Itinerary Number 2 – Strong Mistral Wind Exploration of the eastern side of the La Maddalena Archipelago and the north-eastern coast of Sardinia. --- Day 1 – Porto Rafael → Porto Palma / Cala Portese Route: Protected navigation along the eastern coast of the Archipelago. Recommended stops: Cala di Trana, Cala Francese. Night: Anchorage at Porto Palma (very sheltered) or Cala Portese (more suggestive). --- Day 2 – Bagno a Due Mari → Night in the Gulf of Arzachena / Cannigione Morning: Relax and swim at Spiaggia dei Due Mari. Afternoon: Sailing towards the Gulf of Arzachena. Night: Anchorage at Cannigione or Baia Sardinia. --- Day 3 – Golfo del Pevero → Isole Nibani Morning: Sailing towards the Golfo del Pevero. Afternoon: Exploration and snorkelling at the Isole Nibani. Night: Cala del Pevero or Cala Romazzino. --- Day 4 – Mortorio / Soffi → Cala di Volpe Morning: Sailing and exploration of the islands of Mortorio and Soffi. Afternoon: Stop at Cala Petra Ruja or Cala di Volpe. Night: Anchorage at Cala di Volpe. --- Day 5 – Porto Rotondo → Golfo di Marinella Morning: Visit to Porto Rotondo and walk on land. Afternoon: Swim in the Golfo di Marinella. Night: Anchorage in the sheltered area of the gulf or in the marina. --- Day 6 – Return to Porto Rafael (or Tavolara) Options: Return along the coast with stops at Capriccioli, Liscia Ruja or Cala Francese. Extension to Tavolara (conditions permitting), with possible night at Spalmatore di Terra or Porto San Paolo. --- Notes: Itinerary designed for strong Mistral conditions.
