Tonino is a very nice and helpful person, but based on prior comments he doesn't really fix issues on his boat. We had the same problems with the navigation instruments, the windlass, the oil gauge and also with the VHF. Overall, it spoils the experience. In my case, I couldn't follow my original navigation plan because of the VHF security hazard, and had to spend too much time working around the little troubles caused by those issues. We also encountered a storm and had to take shelter in urgency, which made the absence of depth gauge really annoying. Overall, while the boat is very well kept and clean, I would say paying more for a boat where instruments work is worth the money.

The boat shows that it bears the signs of many rentals behind it, the maintenance leaves something to be desired, not all the on-board instruments are functional (anemometer / windlass / cleat etc) and vegetation on the hull. Tonino is an old sea dog and knows all the tricks of the trade, he sent a clear video for check-in and was very flexible and helpful on timetables, he also helped us solve the problem on the anchor windlass button during navigation ( but delivered to us damaged). Overall, the Bavaria 40 is an excellent boat, easy and spacious and for those who do not have great comfort needs and are used to getting by, it has a good quality / price ratio ... you need to have some experience and know how to get your hands on it . I would probably take it again paying more attention at the time of check-in to avoid improvisations in navigation having children on board and to avoid discussions on returning about worn or time-cooked parts. Giglio, Giannutri and Argentario are wonderful and not too crowded in the month of June. Overall nice holiday.

Comfortable and safe boat for a cruise to the islands of Tuscany. It would need some general maintenance to bring it to the top. The owner Tonino is always available to answer our requests.
Old boat, perfect for a weekend in the harbor without many pretensions of navigation .... The second day the outboard motor broke (also old) and we had to return to port to replace it. Tonino gave us his but it was very old too (very noisy and underperforming ... he barely moved the tender). Tonino always kind and helpful, clean and comfortable boat.

Tonino was very kind and found us a very knowledgeable and helpful skipper. The boat has a few years and some defects: old kitchen, tank float that does not indicate the level of gasoline and other small details that if fixed would make it a good choice.

Communication with Tonino has always been optimal (very helpful person). The boat was in good condition even though the aft beach ladder was broken, making it impossible to get back up from the water and the batteries were already half empty before departure and we had to keep the engine running only to power the services.
