I recently chartered a sailing boat from Euronautic for a trip from October 8-12, 2024. The sailing experience itself was fantastic, and I want to highlight the professionalism and expertise of our skipper, Filip M. He ensured we had a safe and enjoyable time on the water. However, the administrative side of the company was less than satisfactory. First, the deposit listed on the Click&Boat rental page was $1000, but when we arrived, we were charged $1500. Additionally, the inventory list provided by the company indicated that towels were included. Despite this, no towels were on board, and when our skipper contacted the office, he was told that towels required an extra charge. After our trip, we were referred to the fine print of the contract, which stated: "The information contained on this inventory list is for general information purposes only. Non-correspondence of the inventory list with the check-in list supplied to the Client upon check-in is possible." While this was in the fine print, it did not change the fact that the discrepancy caused inconvenience, as we had to buy towels ourselves. In summary, the sailing experience was top-notch, thanks to skipper Filip M., but I hope the company improves its office communication and transparency regarding deposits and inventory to prevent confusion in the future.
